Williston is at the heart of North Dakota’s energy economy. For decades, the hardworking men and women powering our oil industry have fueled not only our state’s growth but also our communities’ livelihoods. Yet too often, the wealth generated from our energy resources hasn’t made its way back to the workers and neighborhoods that created it. I believe we can both support our energy workers today and plan responsibly for the future. That means protecting jobs now while investing in long-term economic stability for Williston and the entire region.

Having worked in the Bakken for the past 15 years, I’ve seen firsthand both the opportunities and the challenges energy development has brought:

  • Roads stressed by heavy traffic and wear
  • Housing stretched to capacity
  • Local services adapting to rapid population growth

Despite the billions in revenue generated from oil and funds like the Legacy Fund, Williston has not always received its fair share of reinvestment. It’s time to change that.

Our Plan for Williston:

  • Modern, durable infrastructure – Roads, utilities, and public spaces built to handle growth.
  • Strong funding for public safety – Ensuring first responders and emergency services are equipped and ready.
  • Support for good-paying union jobs – Keeping families in the community long-term.
  • Smart, forward-looking planning – Preparing Williston for a stable future, not just the next boom.

North Dakota’s energy success should translate into stronger communities. If we want a stronger state, we need a stronger Williston. It’s time to make that commitment real.
