This Independence Day, I reflect on our countries past and how we continue to have to opportunity to make this nation a stronger, caring, and healthier country for everyone. I'm proud to keep doing that work every day.
This Fourth of July, I'm reminded that our patriotism is not just about celebrating our nation's past, but also about doing the hard work to build a better future for everyone.
I believe loving our country means showing up for our neighbors, making sure every family has the opportunity to thrive, and having opportunities to continue to achieve our American dream.
We celebrate America's promise that everyone deserves a fair and equitable chance, a voice in our country, and having the opportunities to thrive, not just survive. We celebrate this promise while also recognizing there's always more work to do to make it real for everyone.
